i really admire the design for these stairs and how they incorporate a wheelchair access ramp. in a world were barrier free design is essential to living a full and happy life, its amazing to see landscape architect Cornelia Oberlander has taken literal steps to design stairs AROUND a ramp, instead of the other way around.

This is Robson Square, right in the heart of downtown Vancouver…represent!

I think that it’s a good idea to start tagging the posts that don’t have image descriptions or transcripts with “accessibility request” if you aren’t in a position to add those accessibility features—or if you need someone to provide accessibility for you. So when someone uploads a video that they keep saying is “a must watch,” you have a way of requesting help with writing a transcript. And if you are able to transcribe things or provide image descriptions, you can track the “accessibility request” tag and provide support when you have the time.

This system is based on the “community accessibility” idea, which basically says that communities as a whole can be made completely accessible even when some individuals within the community aren’t necessarily able to provide accessibility themselves. I also think that it’ll work nicely if you have the energy to start a transcript/image description, but need someone else to complete it. Long videos might even wind up with several contributors.

That is literally the shittiest image description ever, but wow, I love this so much. The coloring is gorgeous, Rose is gorgeous, and the way her dress billows is really dynamic. What a neat style.

I normally wouldn’t even deign this tiresome drama with a response, but this is getting really out of hand.

Someone sent me screencaps of posts where people on imageboards are spreading “my” address to encourage trolls to send me hate mail/god knows what.

The problem is, that’s not my address. That’s where I lived… over 12 years ago.

I have no idea who is living there now, but they don’t deserve to get random crap in their mail because a couple of asswipes on the internet are upset over a cartoon. Nobody does.

Stuff like this really isn’t going to improve the image of bronies in the eyes of Hasbro as far as getting them to cater to their petulant whims. They’re digging themselves ever deeper. Congrats, bros.
